We love to keep an eye on what’s happening in our community. If you live in or around Thornbury, you’ve likely driven past Breaker Technologies (BTI) many times – but have you ever wondered what they did? Did you know that BTI employs 170 people in Thornbury and has been operating here for more than 50 years?
What’s going on inside that BTI building is putting Thornbury on the world stage. Breaker Technology Inc. (BTI) designs and manufactures mining equipment. It has just finished building its 2,000 rock breaking system – and it’s the largest rock breaker in the world. Their equipment can be found in Russia, Africa, Australia, South America and China – the main mining regions in the world.
