We are pleased to welcome Joanne Brown, Sales Representative, to The KW Collaborative Real Estate Team | Royal LePage Locations North, Brokerage. Joanne is taking on the role of Operations and Client Care & Communications Manager for the Team.
Joanne’s Bio
After 30 years as a high school teacher and guidance counsellor in the Greater Toronto area, I made the jump into the Southern Georgian Bay real estate market as a Sales Representative in early 2019. I first fell in love with Collingwood almost 10 years ago, while driving my son to Blue Mountain to night ski with his high school ski club – the sight of the lights on the hill as you approach the town took my breath away. We quickly became weekenders and were hooked by all there is to see and do all year ‘round. It didn’t take long for my husband and I to know that this is where we wanted to spend our post-career life.
Since moving to Collingwood fulltime in the summer of 2019, we have become immersed in the community. We’ve hiked and biked the Georgian and Bruce Trails, tried out many of Georgian Bay’s best beaches, skied and snowboarded the beautiful slopes of Blue Mountain Resort, experienced some of the area’s best restaurants, enjoyed the many annual cultural and community events and attended the region’s fabulous farmers’ markets. I have been privileged to be able to volunteer with the local animal shelter, the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, feeding the cats, assisting at spay/neuter clinics, and helping to organize the annual walkathon, and with the Collingwood Community Clothing Swap.
