Restore our Water Levels – Important Event
Aug 7, 2014 | BLOG
As you may know, the Great Lakes Water levels have been in decline for several years. Georgian Bay is no different; and we firmly believe in the importance of organizations such as Restore Our Water International, Stop the Drop and others who are dedicated to advocating for our Bays and Lakes so they are here for future generations to enjoy & for the wildlife who depend on them.
Below is an invitation from Restore Our Water International to an information event on August 16th that we thought would be of interest to you.
Attend a Special Meeting on Saturday Aug 16, 8AM Thornbury,
OR Saturday August 16, 4PM, Collingwood
YES WE CAN with your help!
Water levels are up, but the wolf is still at the door
Continued work is required to get our governments to finally meet the terms of their outstanding agreement to restore Georgian Bay water levels.
THINGS LOOK BETTER THAN THEY REALLY ARE
We still have a crisis of water levels on Georgian Bay. The record precipitation does not end the problem. The potential crisis can be avoided.
