DESCRIPTION:Explore The Sights And Sounds Of AGORA\n\nAGORA is an unusual and magical space inspired by storytellers and cycles of life in nature. As participants walk this circular path\, they will encounter a series of interactive lighting installations based on the five elements of air\, space\, earth\, water and fire. \nVisit AGORA this season to uncover the stories that have grown from the land\, and get passed down hand to hand through time. Find our what the forest would tell us if we could find a common language of light and sound.\n\nPlease note: masks are required on the Open-Air Gondola. Masks are not required on the AGORA: Path of Light trail\, though they are recommended.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntroducing: Armonia\, AGORA’s Newest Installation \nArmonia explores the importance of keystone species from the mushrooms that dot the forest floor to the pack wolves that rule the woods. A network of LED light strings criss-cross from underneath a wooden boardwalk simulating the root system that mushrooms create and illuminating the wolves that hide in the background. Armonia is now open! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExplore The Elements\nYou are on a path of discovery.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGo Behind the Light\nA brief glimpse into where AGORA began\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCreating this interactive night walk experience was a journey in itself\, putting together a group of the most talented people in their industries from across the country. The result is the work of an incredible team composed of Limbic Media from Victoria BC\, world leaders in interactive art and light technology\, Edesia Moreno Barata\, Concept Designer & Artistic Director\, most notably recognized for her work with Cirque du Soleil\, Marie Metaphor Specht\, Poet and Spoken Word Artist\, Jeff Monague\, Ojibwe language professor and writer\, Grey Cloud (James Carpenter)\, Anishinaabek healer and our advisor for this project\, and the talented group at Blue Mountain. Together\, they have brought to life the spirit of the forest.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAgora Tickets\nTickets include one round-trip ride on the Open Air Gondola and 45 minutes on the AGORA: Path of Light experience.

DESCRIPTION:September 24 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm\n$30 – $60\n\n\n\nWORKING TOWARD A NEW NORMAL \n THORNBURY JAZZWORKS is excited to be able to offer the first JAZZ AT THE LIBRARY concert in the Fall 2021 Series on Friday September 24\, 2021. Further concerts are planned for October and November 2021 and details will be announced shortly. There will be two performances\, one at 5:30pm and one at 8:00pm\, both without intermission\, will make it financially possible to produce the concert. \nAll Grey Brice Health Unit Covid19 requirements\, such as hand sanitation\, vaccinations\, wearing masks and social distancing will be followed. \nFor this show\, TJW is delighted to have one of Canada’s foremost Jazz musicians back again. Russ Little\, accompanied by Andy Harasymcuk on guitar and Jack McFadden on double bass\, will illustrate his musical brilliance and artistry as only he can.  There are a few tickets left at $30 on a first come\, first served basis.
