The PopOpera programme will feature works by Mozart\, Bizet\, Leoncavallo\, Puccini\, Verdi\, Gounod\, Délibes\, and Bernstein. It will conclude with two favourite ensembles by Verdi: Va\, pensiero (Nabucco) and the Brindisi from La Traviata. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBoris Brott was the celebrated maestro’s assistant during his years as music director of the New York Philharmonic\, before going on to an international career of his own. \nToronto Star \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNational Academy Orchestra of Canada\nBoris Brott\, Conductor \n\n\n\n\n\nVENUE\nNew Life Church Auditorium\, 28 Tracey Lane\, Collingwood\, ON \nNote: This “hybrid” concert will be livestreamed online AND projected outdoors at the church’s spacious parking lot (drive-in).
