If you’re interested in becoming a vendor\, please fill out the application provided. \nSeason Dates\nThe 2021 opening date for the Wasaga Beach Farmers Market is Tuesday\, June 15th. Vendor applications must be in prior to that date. Our market season runs each Tuesday evening from 4 pm until dusk\, with the final date being Tuesday\, October 5th.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy in your living room or at the drive-in!\n7:30pm – Gates Open\n8:30pm – Pre-Concert Talk\n9:00pm – LIVE Concert\n\n\n\n\nChocho – The Butterfly\nAlready well-known to Collingwood audiences but with a unique twist. Presenting the ‘Butterfly’ with Aki Takahashi on taiko and shamisen together with the unbridled energy of the celebrated Japanese drummers Nagata Shachu. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn ancient Japan\, boundaries were set by the sound of taiko drums: the point at which you could no longer hear a village’s drums marked its outer borders. Today\, the joyous drumming of Nagata Shachu’s taiko erases boundaries and barriers\, bringing together people from all nationalities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis concert will also feature the projection of a a plein air painting session with local artist Shandelle McCurdie\, during the song ‘Tenkai’\, which means ‘Heaven’ or ‘to evolve or unfold.’ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram\n\nShin Kodama (New Echoes)\, composed by Kiyoshi Nagata.\nHitori Uchi (One person\, one drum)\, composed by Aki Takahashi\nHarukoma (Spring Horses)\nNebuta Daiko (Nebuta festival drumming)\nHon-Choshi\, traditional arranged by Aki Takahashi\nSan Ren On (Rhythms of three)\, composed by Kiyoshi Nagata\nTenkai* (Heaven)\nAraumi (Story Sea)\nIwai (Celebrate)\n\n*with accompanying painting session \nArtists\nKiyoshi Nagata – taiko and bamboo flute\nAki Takahashi – taiko\, voice and shamisen\nNaoya Kobayashi\nAndrew Siu\nKevin Zi-Xiao He\nBriana Lee\nMarie Gavin \n\n\n\n\nNagata Shachu\, Japanese Drumming Ensemble\nShandelle McCurdie\, Painter \n\n\n\n\n\nVENUE\nNew Life Church Auditorium\, 28 Tracey Lane\, Collingwood\, ON \nNote: This “hybrid” concert will be livestreamed online AND projected outdoors at the church’s spacious parking lot (drive-in).
